Jacob Sorensen, a 19-year-old from Natick, MA has been helping out at the Wayland Museum & Historical Society. Jacob first came to the Museum via an eight-week grant from Easter Seals. He came twice a week, Tuesday and Friday mornings, and worked with the our Curator, Jane Sciacca. His first job was to inventory the acclaimed collection of photographs by Alfred Wayland Cutting for www.DigitalCommonwealth.org.
When Jacob’s grant ended in July, he continued to help at the Wayland Museum, but now as a volunteer! He scanned photographs and documents for the Curator and assisted with exhibits and displays. Jacob will be returning to Mass Bay Community College for his sophomore year starting in September.
We will miss him, but we appreciate all of Jacob’s accomplishments at the Wayland Museum & Historical Society – both while being paid, and subsequently, as a volunteer.
Thank you Jacob for your great work!
