Chris is one of three brothers who lived on Draper Road along with their cousins David and Steve Rowan Chris, Lorin and Peter all live in Marin County and Sonoma county north of San Francisco. Chris writes that “growing up in Wayland was so special! With our Rowan heritage, it’s an honor and with deep gratitude to share through song and lyrics the emotional appreciation of my childhood with the families and kids I was so lucky to grow up with. And I believe today, since Wayland has maintained its rural roots by conserving land like Rowan Hill, kids and families can share the same experiences.” The Rowan Brothers last sang in Wayland at the Vokes Theater in August 2013 along with childhood friends Maddie Sifantus and Bill Elliott – as part of Wayland’s 375 Celebration.
A special time and place❤
Love it, thanks Chris! The older I get, the more nostalgic I get for Wayland, the Mill Pond, Volkes Theater, et all. I was there a year ago October. Still wonderful.
